The internal transport system (120m long) moves sheets of steel from the decoil centre - under the road - to the loading centre in the logistics hall. The load capacity is laid out at 5 tonnes with the entire line seamlessly connected. Finally, specific chains were fitted into the system to transport sheets without damage. Some 900 tonnes of sheet steel pass over the transport system every day. Service Centre Maastricht specialises in processing steel coils into flat sheets for shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, yellow goods and trailer construction.
